How I would love to be a tourist in Paris…
Grand Hotel Pigalle
Greatly located in the so trendy SoPi (South Pigalle) in the 9th arrondissement, the Experimental Group has striked again. This boutique hotel was decorated by the talented Dorothée Meilichzon (Experiemental Cocktail Club, Beef Club, Hotel Paradis etc.). The restaurant is led by chef Giovanni Passerini from the famous Rino in Paris. The result is an amazing italian bistro with fabulous italian wines. Head for the wine bar even if you’re not staying at the hotel…
The Hotel Bachaumont opened its doors at the beginning of the century and is a success thanks to les Halles (biggest food market in Paris) in the 2nd arrondissement. Unfortunately when les Halles are delocalized to Rungis, the hotel and restaurant have to close their doors. La Cle Group has recently made it rebirth making sure to give it back all its panache and cachet. A great link from past to present. Great restaurant with open kitchen and charcoal grilled meat.
Hotel Amour & Grand Hotel Amour
Hotel Amour is a classic now in Paris, located in the hip 9th arrondissement. Every room is special and decorated differently. There is a duplex apartment at the top if you want to feel like a rockstar. The crowd is young and trendy. The restaurant and bar are great as well. The food is typical French bistro, cool cocktails. The garden is perfect for lunch or dinner when the weather allows it. Grand Hotel Amour has recently opened in the 10th arrondissement. The hotel is great as well but a bit less excentric way than its younger brother. There is a cute patio in the restaurant.
Located in the 10th arrondissement, Hotel Paradis was also decorated by Dorothée Meleichzon. Sorry, I love her style so much… Great mix of vintage and modern styles. The rooms are comfortable and nicely decorated.
