Nonna Betta | Rome

by Wednesday, December 4, 2013

Nonna Betta is a jewish restaurant in the ghetto of Rome.

The food is delicious and typical; it is a mix of traditional italian food with kosher cuisine. The result is great. The menu is full of artichoke (carciofi) based dishes, all mouth-watering.

I highly recommend the carciofi alla giudea and the carpaccio di carciofi as starter. Their main courses are really good; one of their specialties is the Abacchio (lamb), or the parmigiana di carciofi. All pasta are really good (pasta alla bottarga, taglierini ai carciofi, ravioli ai carciofi).

Definitely recommended if you are in Rome’s ghetto.
